IL Group’s core value has always been to provide superior customer service to every client. With more than 25 years of experience providing financial institutions with customized insurance products and services, IL Group has continued to successfully develop its core business by maintaining a deep understanding of each client’s unique needs.
With this strong foundation, the owners, Larry Cason and David Stidham, continued to expand the core lines of business. In addition to the financial institution markets on a national level, new lines of business include products for independent insurance agents and real estate professionals.
In 2015, Tobi Libbra joined IL Group as the regional vice president of sales. As a successful real estate agent in Illinois, Tobi was an owner/managing broker of an independent real estate agency from 2001 until 2014. Her agency, which held a heavy investment- and foreclosure-based portfolio of clients, gave her insight into the REO (Real Estate Owned) industry in which IL Group was providing property and liability insurance coverage to a substantial list of clients nationwide.
In 2016, the company made the decision to round out the IL Group’s services to include a new real estate division: IL Group Real Estate. Libbra was named as the qualifying broker and the division officially began in September 2016. IL Group Real Estate will provide buyers and sellers with real estate investing services, home valuations and personal service when it comes to buying or selling real estate investment properties.
Lawrence Cason, CEO ~ IL Group
Larry Cason is CEO of Gulf Shores, Alabama-based IL Group, provider of customized insurance solutions for lending institutions nationwide.
Cason’s insurance career with financial institutions spans more than 40 years. He began his career at Birmingham-based Protective Life Insurance Company as the national account manager and later vice president. He served the financial community by contributing as a panelist and presenter for several financial institution associations. Cason has extensive experience in life, health, disability, hazard and flood insurance. During his 20-year career at Protective Life, he led the company’s sales efforts for more than ten years.
In 1989, Cason left Protective Life to form Cason Financial Corporation. In 2001, InsureLutions, Inc. was formed and eventually absorbed Cason Financial Corporation. The company is known today as IL Group.
David Stidham, President ~ IL Group
As co-founder of IL Group, David Stidham serves as president and is responsible for all operational aspects of the company. Stidham holds the esteemed CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation, signifying his successful completion of the study of five major insurance areas.
Stidham’s career began at Birmingham, Alabama-based AmSouth Mortgage and subsequently he served as assistant vice president to Birmingham-based Molton, Allen & Williams Corporation in loan administration. In 1994, Stidham was named operations manager of Cason Financial Corporation, where he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all aspects of the general agency, including underwriting, customer service and claims management.
Having served in a number of key areas within both the mortgage banking and insurance industries, his experience makes him uniquely qualified to provide consultation and advice in both mortgage loan servicing and financial insurance products and services.
Tobi Libbra, Qualifying Broker ~ IL Group Real Estate
Following 12 years as an owner/managing broker of an independent real estate agency in Illinois, Tobi Libbra’s family made the decision to move to the beautiful Gulf Coast of Alabama. After accepting a new position as the executive director for the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation and also acting as an associate broker for a local agency, she still knew something was missing. A year and a half later she found “her place” – that one where you know you are supposed to be – when she discovered IL Group.
As regional vice president at IL Group, LIbbra was responsible for consulting and marketing IL Group’s insurance products to financial institutions, mortgage servicers and independent insurance agents all over the country. The IL Group Real Estate (ILGRE) division was born after much discussion and careful planning with owners Larry Cason and David Stidham. Together, they are determined to provide the same excellent service to real estate clients that have been provided to the IL Group financial clients across the United States. Libbra states, “I am both privileged and honored to be heading up our new real estate division as the qualifying broker of ILGRE.
